Privacy Policy
Driftto exists to get a thought out of your head and into the app you already use: Apple Reminders, Notion, Asana, Todoist, or email.
We don’t store what you write.
The text of your capture, and any photo you attach, never touches our servers in a way we keep. They go straight through to the destination you chose. What we do keep is small: your email address, and a short record of when something was sent, where, and whether it worked. That record clears itself after 7 days.

What we never store
The words you type, dictate, or the photo you snap are not saved on our servers. This isn’t a policy we could quietly change. It’s built into how our database is structured: there is no field for it. Your capture passes through our servers for the moment it takes to deliver it, the same way a letter passes through a mail truck, and then it’s gone from our side.
- On your device, in your capture history, so you can look back at what you’ve sent.
- At the destination you chose: your Apple Reminders, your Notion workspace, your Asana or Todoist project, or the inbox you sent it to. Those are yours; we don’t have a copy.
What we do store
Your email address. You use it to sign in, and if you connect email as a destination, we also store it there so we know where to send your captures. It’s the same address in both cases, kept for as long as your account exists. If we send you a confirmation code to verify an email destination, that code is deleted shortly after you use it, or automatically if it expires unused.
A record of each capture attempt: when it happened, which destinations you sent it to, and whether each one succeeded. This is what powers your history and lets us show you if something didn’t arrive. We keep this for 7 days, then it’s deleted automatically. It never includes the text itself.
Basic error details when something goes wrong. If a destination rejects a capture, say, access that’s stopped working, we may log the technical error message so we can show you why and help you fix it. These are short technical messages from the destination’s own systems, not your content.
An identifier for your account and your destinations, so the app knows which Reminders list, Notion database, or project to send to. The sign-in credentials for the apps you connect are held by Composio, the integration platform that holds those sign-ins for us; we store only a reference to them, never the credentials themselves. Notion destinations added before September 2026 still have their credential stored with us, encrypted, until you reconnect.
How we know the app works
We use PostHog, on servers in the European Union, to see whether Driftto actually does its job: how often a capture reaches its destination, and where people get stuck. These events are tied to your account, not to your device, so we count people rather than phones.
Here is the complete list. There is no other.
- Which screen you opened, and for a destination screen, which service it was for.
- That the subscription screen appeared, which plan you selected, and whether you bought it or left.
- That you switched a destination on or off, which service it was, and how many you had active.
- The outcome of a send: whether it worked, how many destinations it went to, how many failed, whether the failure was temporary or permanent, whether it was a retry, and whether you typed, dictated, or attached a photo.
What is never in there: the words you wrote, the photo you attached, the address you sent to, the name of a Notion page, or the name of a reminder list. Not once, not in an error message, not by accident. Every event this app can send is defined in a single file, and that file is what this list is copied from.
Nothing is sent while we’re developing or testing the app, and there are no automatic “app opened” events. Every event above is one we deliberately added.
Voice capture
When you dictate a capture, speech is converted to text entirely on your device. Nothing you say is sent to us or to anyone else for this. The conversion happens locally, the same way it would if you were typing.
Where your capture actually goes
You send to, what we hand over, and who keeps it, by destination:
Apple Reminders
We hand over the text. Kept by nobody but your device. This integration is entirely local.
Notion
We hand over text and photo, delivered through Composio. Kept by Notion, inside your own workspace.
Asana
We hand over text and photo, delivered through Composio. Kept by Asana, in the project you chose. The photo is briefly held by Composio as part of the hand-over.
Todoist
We hand over the text, delivered through Composio. Kept by Todoist, in the project you chose.
We hand over the text, as a message. Kept by the inbox you sent it to, and our email delivery provider, Resend, which sends the message on our behalf.
Two outside companies help us deliver, and we chose both and are responsible for those choices. Composio holds the sign-in to Notion, Asana, and Todoist and passes your capture through to deliver it; we have their logging of what passes through switched off, so they don’t keep the contents of your captures. Resend sends email on our behalf and doesn’t keep your message beyond what’s needed to send it.
Deleting your account
When you delete your account, everything tied to it is removed in one action: your destinations, your capture records, your session, and the sign-ins Composio holds for you, which we revoke there as part of the same deletion. Nothing is held back. On your device, signing out clears your local capture history too.
This website
We count visits to this website anonymously, using PostHog, hosted on servers in Europe, without cookies and without recording anything you do on the page. Your IP address is used briefly to work out roughly where visitors are, then discarded: never stored, and never linked to your account or anything you write in the app.
The waiting list
If you give us your email address, we use it once: to tell you the app is out. We don’t add you to anything else, we don’t pass it on, and we delete the list after we’ve sent that email. Want to be off it sooner: support@driftto.io.
Changes to this policy
If this changes, we’ll update the date at the top. We won’t quietly start keeping something we said we don’t.
